Our mission
Goalence is an independent football analytics studio. Our mission is to make rigorous, transparent, model-driven football analysis publicly accessible — not paywalled, not affiliate-funded, not slanted toward any league or commercial sports market. Every match prediction, player metric, and editorial story is produced from the same first-party dataset.
What we publish
Three families of content: (1) Daily match predictions across 26 leagues + tournament windows, generated by our Pi-Ratings model; (2) Original Player Impact analytics — the strict on-pitch goal metric (v3) is, to our knowledge, the only public dataset that combines minute-level pitch presence with transfer-aware compound (player_id, team_id) keys; (3) Editorial stories — long-form pieces interpreting the data, written by humans and reviewed before publication. No content is generated by LLMs at request time.
Editorial standards
Forward-tracking only — every prediction is timestamped before kickoff and the result is recorded after kickoff; we never silently retrofit a claim. Source transparency — match data is sourced from API-Football (commercial license); player minutes and substitutions are timeline events from the same provider. Methodology is fully documented at /methodology and reproducible by anyone with access to a minute-level feed. Corrections — if we discover a metric or story error, we update the page with a dated correction note rather than silently rewriting history.
What we don't accept
We don't accept paid placement on any prediction tier, sponsored stories, referral links to third-party commercial operators, or any payment from third parties to alter content. We don't sell access to our raw dataset (it's published under CC BY 4.0). We don't run on-page advertising. The site is self-funded; we'd rather slow growth than compromise editorial independence.
Monetization policy
Goalence is not part of the predictions-as-product industry. Our editorial outputs are not packaged as picks for any commercial sports market, we do not link out to operators in that space, and we accept no payment to feature any provider. The site is self-funded directly by the studio rather than supported by referral commissions, and Turkish-language content follows additional studio guidelines aligned with applicable Turkish legal sensitivities.
Authorship
Stories carry a Goalence Editorial byline. The Editorial team works under direct studio oversight; no content is ghostwritten by external contributors. Methodology documents are signed off by the data engineering lead before publication. We're an Istanbul-based team operating remotely.
